המפעל הוא פרויקט אמנות רב-תחומי הפועל בבניין ערבי עתיק מחוץ לחומות העיר העתיקה. בראשיתו היה המפעל פרויקט מבית-היוצר של בית-ריק, אבל עם הזמן גדל והיה עצמאי. היום ניתן למצוא בו, נוסף ליצירות אמנות רבות המעטרות את קירותיו וחלליו, גם סדנה פעילה ופתוחה, חנות לאמנות עצמאית, רזידנסי מתחלף של אמנים, בר/מסעדה חדשני ושוקק, ערבי שירה, הרצאות, הופעות אלטרנטיביות, מסיבות, מופעי פרפורמנס, הצגות תיאטרון, ערבי קולנוע ופעילויות לילדים.

המפעל הוא פרויקט בתהליך בנייה מתמיד, ולכן פתוח להתנסות בדרכים חדשות ליצירה. הגישה הייחודית הזו הביאה לכמה מההפקות המיוחדות שהיו בירושלים, ובהן ערב תקלוט לקהל ישן או סדרה של מסיבות בנות רבע שעה בלבד.

Hamiffal (“The Factory”) is a multidisciplinary art project operating in a previously abandoned old Arab building, not far from Jerusalem’s Old City. It was started on a small scale by the “Empty House” group, but grew over time and became independent. Today, it is home to the many artworks that adorn its walls and spaces, an open and active workshop, a store selling independent art, and an innovative and bustling bar/restaurant. A wide variety of activities are held in the building, including poetry evenings, lectures, alternative happenings, parties, performance art, theater shows, movie nights, and even activities for kids. Additionally, Hamiffal hosts a temporary residency program for artists.

Hamiffal is a project that is constantly developing, and is open to incorporating new types of creative experimentation. This unique attitude has given birth to some of the city’s most unusual productions, including a night of DJ’d music sets for a sleeping audience, and a series of 15-minute parties.

المصنع هو مشروع فني متعدد التخصصات موجود في مبنى عربي قديم خارج أسوار المدينة القديمة. في البداية، كان المصنع مشروع ولد من مشروع  "بيت-فارغ"، ولكن مع مرور الوقت نمى وأصبح مستقل. اليوم، ممكن ان نجد فيه بالإضافة إلى العديد من الأعمال الفنية التي تزين جدرانها ومساحاتها، ورشة عمل مفتوحة وناشطة، متجر فني مستقل، رزيدنسي متغير للفنانين، بار / مطعم متجدد وصاخب، أمسيات شعرية، محاضرات، عروض بديلة، حفلات، مسرحيات, أمسيات الأفلام وأنشطة للأطفال.

المصنع هو مشروع في سيرورة بناء مستمرة، وبالتالي مفتوح لتجربة طرق جديدة للاختراع. أدى هذا النهج الفريد إلى بعض المنتجات الخاصة التي كانت في القدس، بما في ذلك حفل استقبال مسائي لجمهور قديم أو سلسلة من االحفلات القصيرة التي مدتها خمسة عشر دقيقة فقط.
